Public Liability

The basis of the contract is the proposal form. The consideration for indemnity being premiums. Upfront payment of premiums is mandatory before commencement of cover.

  • Death of or bodily injury to any person other than the person in the service of or acting in any capacity either for the insured or for any sub-contractor to the insured.
  • The consideration for indemnity being premiums.
  • Damage to property other than property belonging to or held in trust by or in the control of the insured or on his employees of sub-contractors where such damage is not recoverable under any other policy. In addition to the amount of indemnity, all costs and expenses incurred in connection with the defense of any claim made against the insured is payable.

The limits of indemnity may be given by the proposer as given below:

This may be extended to cover liability in connection with fire or explosion, guests personal effects (in case of Hotels) and car park with limits shown separately on any one claim, any one event and any one period of Insurance subject to terms and conditions as may be agreed thereon.
